One grassroots group believes so – and its members say they’re not “politely and patiently” remaining quiet as the president’s administration continues to ignore the country’s ever-growing problem of opioid abuse, misuse and overdose.
The FED UP! Coalition, formed in 2012 when several organizations from across the country joined forces, will be holding a protest on August 31 to peacefully express its dissatisfaction with the way President Obama has been handling the country’s opioid addiction epidemic. The organization is expecting thousands of people to show up on International Overdose Awareness Day at more than 40 rallies across the nation.
